Our first camp. Dawg may look tired, but he is not so tired that he won't still run off any squirrel that comes near camp. Our camp is beneath several beautiful Juniper trees. You'll see us wearing head nets in many of the pictures. Although there were mosquitoes, the bigger problem were the flies. It appears we had an unusually large fly crop this year.

I look down the river canyon as Andra snaps a few camp photos. It was a long and hot hike in and I was happy to just sit around camp.

The next morning Andra snaps one of her infamous tent photos. The large rock in the foreground holds down one of our tent stakes. With lots of granite just below the surface at this camp, it wasn't possible to get the stakes to go into the ground.
