Return to Area 208

With it being a drought year, I love taking advantage of the minimal snowpack for an early backpacking trip. We decided to return to the mysterious Area 208 (four times more secret than area 52) for some springtime fun. Unfortunately for us, shortly before our launch date, the weather forecast changed and showed rain for the first two days. With sunny days shown after that, we decided it wasn't worth it to postpone.

With the weather forecast prepared by Often Wrong Soong, and if you are just too lazy to read on, the trip could be summed up with the following song lyric.

Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale,
A tale of a fateful trip
That started from this tropic port
Aboard this tiny ship.
The mate was a mighty sailing man,
The skipper brave and sure.
Five three passengers set sail that day
For a three hour tour,
a three hour tour.

The weather started getting rough,
The tiny ship was tossed,
If not for the courage of the fearless crew
The Minnow would be lost,
the Minnow would be lost.
