This video is after I've already crossed the creek and dropped my pack. What you didn't see is that although this is NOT where the trail crosses the creek, Dawg immediately turned and started crossing when we arrived despite the fact that the trail goes straight for nearly 200ft before crossing. This IS where we crossed last year. So after 12 months, by memory, Dawg recognized the spot coming from the opposite direction (as I did) and started to cross before we even reached the log crossing. I had to call him back to remove his pack for safety reasons before Mr. Smarty pants got too far.
