As we approached the town for Burney, I pulled over off HWY 299 and took this picture of Mt. Shasta. Like most mountains its size, it tends to make its own weather with clouds forming on the top. This image is with my telephoto lens from about 20 miles out.
After reaching the campground we went down to Lake Britton for a spot of tea and crumpets. The lake was unusually quiet this late in the season.

Before it got too dark we went over to the falls for a quick photo. Our big plans for the evening consisted of setting up camp and relaxing.
