When completely and utterly lost, the best thing you can do is take a picture of a weird tree. You know - to tell rescuers - "I'm standing near the weird looking tree." Distinct landmarks like trees, are good markers to help them find you. ;) "Mr. Rescuer, I'm standing next to the green pine tree" - will always speed up their search!
Here is a look back at the mountains and valley we were hiking in just yesterday.
Dave and I continue along the trail. The forest here is beautiful and Andra and I both comment that we'd like to build a house in the area. Somehow the National Forest Service would probably frown on that.
