We've made the crest and while standing at the top, we photograph the other side. That lake is our next and final campsite.

Andra keeps moving down the trail to keep warm. I'd estimate the winds are gusting to 60+ miles per hour.

She pauses briefly for a photo before we continue down to the lake. Shortly after this picture was taken, a gust came in so hard it nearly flattened her. With a blast of high speed air catching her pack, she did everything possible to avoid face planting off the side of the trail. I was walking behind her and was amazed she managed to recover without going down. I'm also being pushed around by the wind, but have more muscle to fight off the erratic blasts.
