Tired of freezing and being blown to pieces, we increase our carbon footprint by stoking the fire until it puts out more heat. You can see the bear canister being used to prevent our chair from blowing away. The wind was blowing the fire like a bellows or Al Gore giving a speech (you pick).
I add a few more pieces for good measure and there are two huge logs from the downed tree now fully engulfed.

It is starting to get dark so we pose for a campfire photo. It hailed a bit, mixed with light rain and a tiny bit of snow. Rain, snow, hail, are not a big deal, but the wind is annoying. Since this is our last camp spot, I talk to Dave about leaving a day early rather than spending two nights being blown to hell. We decide that if it stays windy we will leave in the morning.
