This massive slab of granite just blew my mind. Based on its position, I'd guess it is a glacial erratic
As we near the end of the canyon, we begin our descent to the Tuolomne River. A bit further up you could actually see Tuolomne falls peaking out of the trees. Unfortunately, I thought if I just walked a little farther, I'd getter a better angle for a picture. I kept telling myself that until I couldn't see it anymore!

We've now hiked more than twenty miles since leaving the leather bucket seats of my SUV. We had talked about continuing past Tuolumne falls and making camp. That way we'd have mostly flat hiking in the morning, but Dave was pretty worn out when we reached the closed Glen Aulin High Sierra Camp. As many times as I've hiked by the High Sierra Camp, I've never actually went into it. All of us were tired and ready for a break, we turned into the area and found ourselves a nice fire ring. I dragged some dead trees over and Andra started in cutting firewood. Yes, that's right, after carrying a monster pack for almost 21 miles, she cuts firewood! Jealous?
