Here at about 8400ft, you can begin to see Lake Tahoe again in the distance. We've run into some snow and must now skirt the edge of it before returning to the trail. This year we got substantially more snow and rain than normal. Al Gore however, still declared it a drought year.

Jay at Dick's Lake. The water looked inviting, but no one braved a plunge. This rock served as our lunch table.

Dick's Peak in the background is still sporting a significant amount of snow for late August.
