We've now reached Le Conte Falls and our first pinwheel. As water slams into abrupt rock edges it shoots upward. Eleven years ago when Andra and I were last here, it seemed like there were more of these features and their overall height was higher. Perhaps the high water flow was suppressing them a bit.
