Walt always wanted to see the ghost town of Bodie. So Saturday morning we headed through the park on our way to Bodie. Since none of them had ever seen Obsidian Dome or the Tufa Towers at Mono Lake, I decided to make this day a marathon exploration trip. Here just off HWY 141 we stop for a photo at one of the large turnouts.
Along HWY 120 we stop to snap a picture of the boys with Half Dome in the middle. Clouds Rest is cut off on the left.
A close up of the sub-dome and Half Dome. With binoculars you can see the cables and a few specs climbing them.
