Another look at Fontanillis Lake.
Here is Fontanillis with Dick's Peak in the background. Dick's Lake drains into Fontanillis, which drains into Upper Velma. The drainage from Upper and Lower Velma run through a long creek that eventually empties into Eagle Lake. Eagle Lake then drains into Lake Tahoe. I'm exhausted just thinking about it...
From this vantage point near Fontanillis Lake, you can see Upper Velma, Lower Velma, and Lake Tahoe. Emerald Bay is about three miles away in a straight line.
