This fellow decided to rest right on the Minerva Terrace. This was one of the most beautiful Terraces at Mammoth; however in early 2002, it went dry. Springs are constantly drying up and then popping up in new places in this area. If the water flows long enough, a new Terrace is formed. This shift sometimes coincides with earthquakes.
