Despite the high elevation, Andra and I keep up our stiff pace as Dave falls way behind. You can see the trail as it winds it's way around the mountain in the distance. Dave can be seen rounding the bend just before the trail goes into the shade. If you mouse over this photo, it will zoom in to show his location. This should give you some idea just how far behind he's gotten.

Andra took this photo, and believe it or not, Dave is in it at about the same spot as shown in my photo. This photo gives you a perspective of just how big the mountain range is we are trying to climb over. The winds are starting to push us around as is typical on high mountains. Seeing that Dave is still moving forward, we press on.
