That evening we enjoy the fruits of my labor as we wait for our pot of water to boil. Note the heat waves, wrinkling up my pant leg. It makes it look like my pants need ironing. We met a nice guy from Ireland (Ali McCord) while staying here. It was his first time to the States and he too planned to hike to Half Dome the following day.
On the way to Half Dome I saw this neat tree. Yosemite Valley provides the backdrop.
From the trail we get our first view of the sub-dome with Half Dome behind it.
